Something we've really noticed this summer is that when you look up at night here, it is a much different view than back home in Southern Ontario.

The number and brightness of the stars on a clear night is just amazing! (not my photo, by the way -- I haven't managed to take a good stars photograph yet)

It's quite something to look up just walking down a city street and see the Milky Way clearly.

If you head out into the country, you see even more stars, as well as the odd meteor every so often.

Of course, we're heading into winter here now, so it will be cloudier and we probably won't see the stars as often.  We'll certainly miss this view when we head back home!
